This is the Guide I use when preparing for a Colonic Session:
THE DAY BEFORE AND DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT:
I eat only fruits and vegetables or their juices prior to each Colon hydrotherapy session. Sometimes I may take a Fiber supplement such as:- Psyllium Husk fiber.
VERY IMPORTANT: If I am doing a series of colonics, then I take a probiotic supplement to support my intestinal flora, which would help replenish the good bacteria.
If I cannot eat only fruits and vegetables, I just keep my meals simple, and add the fruits and vegetables throughout the day, I call this nutrient loading. The purpose of this, is to increase my vitamin/mineral intake, and the fiber is a bonus!
NUTRIENT LOADING:
Nutrient loading and probiotics are a must for me because we lose nutrients and good bacteria while cleansing the large intestines. Resources I use for nutrient loading are: blends of powerful super-food powders including: Chlorella, Spirulina, Colostrum, Goji, Acai, Cocoa, Bone Broth, Hemp, and or a complete vitamin/ mineral supplement.
I Avoid: White flour, white sugar, caffeine, carbonated beverages, dairy, alcohol, and “fat-free” labeled items.
MY AFTER-CARE RECIPE:
I stay away from chicken, meat and dairy for the following two days, and I also do the nutrient loading again to replenish my vitamins and minerals along with my probiotics. I stay hydrated and drink electrolyte water, such as: coconut water.
THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT:
No food 3 hours prior to appointment time, no liquids 1 hour before appointment time. Stay Hydrated with water. Lateness- May result in a shorter treatment time or clients may have to re-schedule.
Notes: Please speak to your physician about refraining from all kinds of pain meds 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
